(L-R): Doug Whitehead, bass trumpet & trombone; Craig Rafuse, guitar; Larry Smith, tenor saxophone; Mico Bowles, trumpet; Mitch Sosebee, drums; Gayle Thompson, violin; Sam Garafalo, alto saxophone & clarinet; Bob Visentin, bass & theremin; Tom Campbell, keyboard Bob, our bass player, also plays in Hair of the Dog, a great Atlanta Cajun band with two CDs to their credit. Mitch, our drummer, owns the Precinct Studio and has an MP3 project called Somerset Sound. Craig, our guitar player, also has a CD out called Promise Land. It's available from Echo Lake Records. Sam, Mico, and Larry play in the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable, a motley aggregation that dresses zanily, indulges in creative lunacy, and plays music by John Philip Sousa, Benny Golson, James Brown, and other composers. Check them out! And while you're here, be sure to check out a funny true music story from Owls alumna, euphonium player Joyce Kelly.
